Biography

 

Joshua Cruz is an undergraduate at Clemson University and is majoring in Performing Arts with a concentration in Audio Technology. Growing up in a musical home with his father as a worship leader, Joshua discovered his passion for music at a young age. He started playing acoustic guitar at ten years old, which eventually branched out to electric guitar and bass guitar as well. Joshua always expressed interest in the technical aspects of music. Playing guitar and bass under his father allowed Joshua to utilize his technical knowledge as well as gain experience as a live musician. Joshua has also had a number of professional audio experiences that furthered his knowledge of audio. He took part in helping an audio company set up for a music camp in Nashville and currently works in the Brooks Theatre at Clemson. Joshua participated in an internship with Work Light productions and Technical Theatre Solutions on the national tour of Nice Work If You Can Get It. He has also been the A1 for Evil Dead: The Musical at the Warehouse Theatre in Greenville, SC. On the concert side of the industry, Joshua toured the southeast running sound for various CCM artists while working for Student Life ministries out of Birmingham, Alabama. He was also the Front of House engineer for the largest FCA in the country which is held on the campus of Clemson University. Joshua is currently the lead guitarist for FCA, as well as local music group called the Tim Riehm Band.
